The Disconnected Shadow

This slide inspired me to consider the shadow used in designing for experiment 2. In my design process, I understood that you cannot build a construct without shadows, you cannot separate shadows from the design process, especially in a environment where lighting is extremely important. The position and shape of the shadow can deliver meaning and is essential to the beauty of the design, if not most important. The most beautiful building is not just the structure, but if the structure cast a shadow that is as beautiful as the structure itself.
